Glen Ronald
Shreve
Mar 10, 1951 — Nov 22, 2019
Troy
Glen Ronald Shreve Sr, 68, of Troy, MO, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019. He was born on March 10, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, the child of William E. and Dewey M. (Coleman) Shreve. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1969, and soon after began a career in construction. Glen was a hard worker and after several years moved up the ranks to Project Superintendent. He worked for Cannon Builder's, and helped to build several court houses, water plants, and schools to name a few. Glen was a super hard worker and a perfectionist. He was a jack-of-all trades and could really do about anything. On October 2, 1976, he married the love of his life, Cathy Toland. When he was not working, he could be found fishing, hunting, or playing his guitar. He was an avid music lover and at one time even played in a band, Split Generations. Glen even played guitar in the church band. But Glen's first priority were always his wife and children, and grandchildren. He was a wonderful man who always wore a smile and had a great sense of humor. Glen will be missed lovingly by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Cathy Shreve, of Troy, their children: Glen Shreve Jr. of Troy, Riegie Gee of St. Louis, Violet (Rodney) Gilland of Peach Orchard, Arkansas, his grandchildren: Danny, Ashley, Jordan, and Sydnee, his brother, Rev. Bill (Shirley) Shreve of St. Louis, and two sisters: Carole Moore of Winfield, Sharon (Doug) East of Loveland, Colorado, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Rusty Gee, one brother-in-law, Jack Moore.
